God and Moms ~ 24/7

As a mom one of my biggest wishes is that my children always trust me. I laid the groundwork from the first moments of their lives and continue to this day. Feeding them, changing diapers, listening wholeheartedly to a concern, teaching them to drive: it's all the same thing. We parents are saying we care and we are there for our children no matter what.

We must realize God feels the same way about us no matter what we do. God knows our thoughts before we do. Kind of like when our youngsters walk in looking guilty as sin; we know exactly what they've done (or pretty close), but have to wait until they come clean. When they do confess they feel better and we forgive. It's an endless circle - sin, confess, forgive. And it all means love.

Hopefully as we get older we are a bit more experienced and have to go to God less and less to confess as we attempt to get this thing called, "Life," right. Know that God is always there for you to help and guide you.

I hope you are walking closer to God during this Lenten time of reflection. Sometimes it's hard but always, it's worth it. Good luck on your journey.
